The Volatile IBEX - a simple trading strategy..

Oh! I am currently looking at binaries. 1 sec chart!!! Post is with a couple of minutes to go to its close.

I am undecided yet as to these would be good to trade or not. So the jury is still out.

I would like to hear from BD with his views.

Here you go Krug.

Left hand chart is ftse 3 min close 'pups' samll move from it.

Right hand chart Ibex 'clevage further apart. When I spotted it, the bottom stoch was displaying properly. Now though it doesn't look so good and is 'walking the line'.

Gracias, muy interesante.

Good morning gentlemen

Nice couple of puppies on the Dax and Ibex this morning (for a short) I'm still in both trades as I speak, going down............

This is working so well, I'm not bothering to look into any other strategies, which is most unusual for me, usually I'm sniffing around in something.

Both closed now, +33 and +10. That's the morning's work done (25 pips target a day)

Just the .35% strat on the Dow this afternoon (this gleaned 97 pips last week on its own !!)

Garry,

Take yesterday's close (PDC) on the Dow, which for Monday 2nd July was 13535. Multiply it by 0.35%, roughly 47. Add a bit on for a factor of safety (say 3) so we have 50. We now have a long and short entry point if we add/subtract the 50 from the PDC. ie:
GO LONG IF THE DOW GOES OVER 13535+50=13585.
GO SHORT IF IT GOES BELOW 13535-50=13485.

I usually only trade after market opening, unless the market is moving VERY fast. Look back at yesterday's chart, there was a good trade !

Good luck,

Nick

Krug; my little gold watch.

Were you on this mornings move before it happened? (See attached) You should have been.
Sadly I didn't turn on until it had finished. (sods law in action) so missed it. (Smack myself red raw with a 2 week old kipper and vow not to do it again). Over 120 in 3 mins m8. This is getting back to the volatility that I spoke of before. And you know what?

The 'puppies' were right there beforehand panting for a brisk fondle. You could easily tell they were excited!

RE; your post yesterday on pups? (Again late to the party so missed bloody thing). But when I checked back I couldn't see any pups. I think they must have gone out for a stroll. All I could see was continuance. (Phew! thank F the spell checker got that right, the first option was continence). Is possible to post a chart? Though it may be too late.

:( OI!!!

"Ave I missed summat?

35 per cent?

I like that in my vodka but where did that come from?

Where? (I know when) and Who brought this up? More importantly...does it work?

.35 Strategy

Hello Nick.

Interesting .35 Strategy, I will look at this, can I ask, between the 2 "entry" points, do you not trade, if you do, what strategy do you work to, as you are between between both extremes?

Thanks:LOL:

Good morning Options,

Didn't get in front of the screen particularily early this morning - v.late night. Lovely pups - you're right !!

Can't post a chart, but my notes show puppies on the Dax at 06.20am and 07.00am and 16.30pm (29/7/07) and 08.20am on the Ibex. The Ibex trade was a bit risky as one of the puppies was from the previous trading day.

No No No. 0.35% not 35% Vodkaman !!!

Found it on the internet sometime last year, and paper traded it for a couple of months. Have been using it live for most of this year. Yep - it works - I'd say 80% of the time.

Do nothing until the Dow shoots through one of the entry points. Due to the Ibex strategy I use I'm often in a trade just before it hits an entry point, so it then acts as a confirmation, and I can add to the stake. If I'm on a .35% trade only, I just go for 15 pips as a target initially, and then move the stops to lock that profit in and see what develops from there. My target is only 25 pips a day, so I'm never too greedy.

What was that !!

Options,

What was that 'blip' all about on the Ibex this morning just after 09.15am ? Surely not just volatility ??

K. Muchos!

Think I will stick with playing the 'puppies' I really love those joyful creatures. Can't get enough of them.

I would still like to hear from any binary traders on methods for one second charts. (My 1 mins are no good at all (IG)). It is only the one second time frame charts that help at the moment, but I can't help thinking that I am missing something. Input would be greatly appreciated, If you need anonymity, Please pm me, and of course I will respect your views. And not mention on public posts.

These 'pups' really do work and are there for everyone to use as they wish. But price action as always is the key, and no trade should be taken without reference to them. They work on any time scale, and to be honest, I have not found one instance of them letting me down.
I look for instances where they do not work, but so far have failed to see any. (And I am very, very through). This might be impossible of course and could be contributed to the fact that they are Krugs' first mention of them, but my 'handling' of them has perked everything up. And don't we all love a 'perky puppy' Or two :D

This thread is written slightly tongue in cheek of course. But I (we) always try to look on the bright side of things. (Hear we go, I can hear the chorus from here). (Always look on the bright side of things...Dee Dum, Dee Dum, Dee STOP! No humming!

KRUG! This is your fault this thread started. :( I am getting more offers to teach people to trade then I know what to do with. Please! I am not a teacher!!! I don't like teaching. It is a sure fire way to throw a spanner in the works without even thinking about it).

I only ever show the way to one person at a time. And the time with me is not measured. or charged for over hours: It may take a few days, or a few weeks. That is immaterial. My view is that a teacher cannot be linked to a time frame!

It may take a student 2 weeks to pick things up. It may take another student 2 months to pick things up. There is no additional cost in my view. My time is with them until they get it and can do it on their own. Trawling porn sites when they should be working, does not count of course. (Just give me the web addresses.)
