If a country can't pay off it's debts because of over spending politicians then do they :-
1. Just borrow even more money from anyone stupid enough to lend it to them and waste that too probably
or
2. declare themselves bankrupt and pay it off by auctioning off any assets, like people and companies have to. The elected politicians are obviously too incompetent to run the country, so forfeit their assets.
I'm putting in my bid for a Greek island - £10 😆

Don't mention the Middle East and Asia. Syria is a tinderbox waiting for some foreign mug to give an excuse for another Balkan type war. In the end, everyone would be in it. Syria's closest friends are Iran and Russia. Just what we need. If we have to attack Iran let it be because they are attacking us, not someone else. We have UNO, let them sort it out.

Just one more case of people being elected because they were against the last lot and made promises they won't keep. This is the end of democracy as we knew it too. Regretably but it can't just continue on indefinately surely. Someone MUST risk unpopularity by refusing to give ( waste) any more money.
The alternative of a 1 party state is THE nasty alternative, not just one more group of useless incompetents.

Sounds good BUT it doesn't work. In no time they will be fighting each other over the remains - anarchy and a Mad Max situation of armed gangs pillaging and raping etc. !
Mostly because the gullible were fooled by greed and selfishness imho
If Govts untie the hands of the people they won't be thanked by the grateful masses. More likely strung up.

I am flabbergasted that the EU wastes £80 billion every year and wants more. They produce nothing much for all that money. Corruption takes a big slice of it and the MEPs another lorry load.

Can't see why the Brit currency should be blamed for the Greek situation ?
Wasn't it true only a short time ago the average Greek was paid for 5 jobs ? one was part time and the other 4 imaginery.
Many of the richest Greeks have put their savings into Swiss bank accounts ?
Corruption of many sorts is bad.
The facts may be painful but need facing up to if the problem is to be solved.
Oh and by the way democracy doesn't work either. When the handouts run short the country collapses.
One doesn't wish to cause more pain - so get on the right path and off the ouzo.
