S&P 500 free weekly competition for 2019 with PRIZES

Some may think that Trump's master plan of tariffs on Chinese goods will be paid by China. Not at all folks.
The tariffs will be paid for by the US consumers. Well when the average Joes are paying they take the matter seriously.
Even the Trumpers will be hard pressed to justify it.
The Chinese are likely to retaliate strongly.

So if the Americans pay when Trump raises tariffs on Chinese goods, then the Chinese will pay if they increase tariffs on American goods, so why would they retaliate strongly?

Halfway through the second quarter of the year and the competition is hotting up. The wild gyrations of the S&P has competitors almost split between bulls and bears. Welcome to new entrant @monro00 with a massive weekly drop prediction of 500 points, there would indeed be some dark forces at work to reach that level in such a short period of time, the devils work 🤫

@mike. appears to be AWOL again, taking a breather in such volatile times is maybe not such a bad idea.

Good luck all.

What a down under week for our esteemed forecasters, the wild swings meant it could have gone either way. In pole position, the (assumed) EUROman with a VISION is @Oscar Reed, also singing for pole position but just swinging too far out of range are @lexcorp and @Pat494.

It's also time for a mid-quarter update, with @Oscar Reed leading the pack at this stage whilst also holding a goody bag full of commodities (y)
