S&P 500 cash weekly competition for 2016 with PRIZES!

Creative Destruction => Good for business

I don't think the markets these days need a reason to rise? Do they?

Was reading the Fortune magazine, very good write up and the ability of companies to continue earnings and paying dividends was questioned.

Last year was about dividend stocks for me. This year the key driver is likely to be companies with low gearing in light of rising rates and questionable earning potential. PEs are off long term averages too.

Sustainablility must surely be in peoples minds. Maybe not today, this week even but in January :whistle:whistling:whistle:whistling:whistling

Oh boy! :(

The markets seem to be shut today.
The S&P has flattened out and may consolidate imho next year.
Not much of a Santa rally this year as people hold their "horses" in awaiting Trump's surprises.
So 2241 for me please Postie if you are still in business.
Happy Christmas and New Year

OK how come the top 3 knew something the rest of us didn't?
Less than 3 points between the actual close and the top 3 places.

Nice going this week!

In the spirit of the season first place goes to jeffre, second to sminicooper and third Pat (taking his 4th medal this quarter).

Christmas wouldn't be the same without the royle family.
