I am convinced that lots of traders don't want to become profitable.
They cling to certain set of rules that were put in their heads by those who are not profitable either,
because those who are profitable almost never teach of even give advice.
What do you think about it?

In my opinion, anyone who wants to make a profit (which I think is everyone) is actively looking for ways to achieve it. It's like starting a marathon with the thought that you won't finish it—there's no point in that, at least not from my perspective.
You are right, I fully agree with you. I meant that their actions seems as though they don't want to. Sometimes we say that somebody doesn't want something, even though they themselves tell us, that they do want. It's simply that their actions contradict their verbal statements. For example, somebody who says they want to lose weight, but keep eating junk food.

I think all traders want to be profitable, however their path may be different. Successful traders I think teach vaguely recommended trading concepts, but in practice, each trader may have different behavior.
