Surely the admin/mods could have compromised and given him a one week ban or something due to the extenuating circumstances. A Legendary member without previous form should not be perma banned for being a 'very stupid boy'

I don't see why he should be given any ban at all... bans shouldn't be about punishment ffs, they should be to protect the site.

And even if they were punishing stupidity just seems to be interfering with nature to me.

....The images posted on the thread were of vile nature and many traders here look at the daily happenings on the site normally in evenings and when family members are around or children.....I am one of them.....

And some others could have potentially seen them at work - not ideal if a boss happens to be glancing at your pc at the time, especially in a culture of banks just begging anyone to step out of line so they can further reduce headcount without needing to pay any sort of a severance package.

I didn't see the posts in question, but based on what I'm hearing, I tell you one thing - if they were a regular feature of this site, I would simply cease coming here, permanently. It's just not worth it.

So while, if TF's story about what happened is true, he is pretty unlucky, what else would people have the management here do. They can't risk getting shut down by condoning that kind of content. and to be honest, it all has a whiff of the lulzy about it anyway. Not sure how / who but it's all a bit odd.

And anyway, if TF finds that he simply can't live his life without T2W then I think a long hard look in the mirror is needed. It's a lulzy internet chat forum for fks sake.

They can see if that stuff was posted from his IP address or not. I would be very surprised if it was him, tbh, it's not his style. And if it wasn't him then all he is guilty of is stupidity.
C'mon T2W - you have the technology, he either did it or he didn't.

I will miss the little bugger. Yes, he could be annoying but his honesty and lack of ego was refreshing and his flame war with Mr Charts was hysterical.

Agree with Nic, insofar as her points aren't mutually exclusive with my own. Balance of probabilities say it wasn't him, but I don't think, if it wasn't him, that it was some no-post random lurker that hacked the account. So what we'd be left with is the question of who was behind the lulz, and why. And why TF's account?

Well, I didn't make his actual password public, I posted XXXXXXX.

However, since his actual password was 'password' (really!) it wasn't too hard to guess...
