market is so volatile there is over 90% chances of your trade taken out with a very narrow stop/loss.

the best thing to do is to trade small with wider stop/loss.

I have been recently looking at FTSE 250 index and felt encouraged to trade its big swings but after realising that one has to pay 30 points spread not so sure... Does anyone know a platform that has a smaller spread?

It gone up 10 points this mean the ask price reached your stop loss point , its ok to be stopped out , but if the ask price didnt reach your point it is not ok .

If the Capital Spreads graph showed the sell & buy price you would understand better! It only shows the selling (short) price.

Finspreads...some years ago did a 10% vehicle based on the ftse250. If you are training small it may be what you want/need.
