Yes, definitions are important to understanding. But when the definition is based on opinion, then the definition provided by one is no more "crucial" than that provided by anyone else.
When it comes to practical application as opposed to posting, the definition comes as a result of the process, not as a result of punditry. This is particularly true of concepts such as "trend", and of course "edge".
As for being watched, I'm used to that by now.
