Long term trend support line.

Dax looks like a dead index walking at the moment. Got a close below that trend line, and a very weak bounce off of it. A move down this week I feel.

To note:

11052 (trend res)
10766 (Trend sup)

Lol could dax really see those areas tomorrow???

Will try and post some stuff before I head off to work tomorrow, no promises. But at home now, so should be ok.

chronic..try this
your 60 min chart
plot the close...you can do this by 1 sma of close
you can superimpose on your candle
you will see that price has really got squeezed

imkrq0.gif

your downward channel is actually a flatline..if you wipe out the spikes

a flatline like that can pop either way
it can also pop and reverse ..as market can read the news the wrong way
we need to plot horizontal res/supp aswell as trend supp...there is no real direction still
the only good bit is that price is coiling

DAX on 5m charts narrowing into a smaller ATR.

However, this is also a wedge and psychology of it is that the bears are bearing down harder than the bulls able to resist. Bulls just about holding the line at 10880.

There is a greater than 50% chance of a breakdown and based on probabilities shorting rises has better odds.

Only some fundamental good news or numbers can change this market psychology.

it seems to be more bullish than bearish
27 point box size on 30 min data
3 reversal
plot the close
the upward column of "X"s..the latest column has not reversed and formed a downward column of "O"s
no reversal achieved..as yet

looks like a shakeout...so far

horizontal res at 11070-11097 area
11124-11151 area

that chart setting is more of a swing traders inputs
probably why price held supp today on many ocassions
lets see if that chart turns bearish tomorrow

5 min is bearish

2z71xrp.gif

horizontal supp area needs to hold 10836 area
trend res at 10976-1104 area
Could be the shakeout before the explosive move...as per. Chronic said

US Dollar Rise Puts Pressure on Wal-Mart Earnings

Wal-Mart missed expectations with profit and cut forward guidance

Speaking of Wal-Mart, here are some charts showing how the US Dollar has put pressure on the earnings of firms like this with international operations.

In the chart below, we can see the ICE Dollar Index and Wal-Mart's quarterly operating Income for the past five years. You can see the operating income move away from the rising US Dollar from 2014 to the present.

Past performance is not necessarily indicative of future results.

In the chart below we can see an overlay of the ICE Dollar Index and Wal-Mart's stock price. The abrupt climb from the US Dollar over the past year in particularly seems to align to pressure on Wal-Mart's stock price.

Thanks for this Jason, and I do think Wal-Mart is bellwether good many companies future earnings.

I also thought your diag on perception of central banks on the dovish spectrometer was interesting though I would have had BoE a little lower after last announcements. (y)

spx into euro open
a recoil in a minor uptrend
could go either way

chart is 15 min data over the last 2 days
if you are thinking differently...you had better go back and reexamine your charts
