FTSE 100 Intraday - December

hooya
if its of any interest, because dax now trades social hours,
I am trading that as well.

Looks like trend line has gone for the time being. Bonsai, do you have the winners to losers figs at last nights close. I forgot to write them down.:)

Thanks...

I have been looking at the dax on delay a bit this week. Seems much more willing to follow US futures than the UKX. Not sure ADVFn do live DAX, if they do I cant find the epic.(typical)

the trendline in the recent past has been rejected within a few hours. So probably will get a clearer picture by US open

Still holding.

Taking a break for the next move up IMHO.

Got top of the trend line at 4,398 and Fib top resistance band from 4,384.

I get the distinct feeling that we are just biding our time until the Dow tops out. It has just about finished closing its single stair treads and seems to be within 100 or so of hitting a brick wall.

so in the meantime, we move in a series of 5 leg waves ?

it's ok for making money but only on short term basis , imo

Agree with youe sentiment Bonsia. Though I still think there's the possibility of a throw-over push upward before a move down. Still thinking of the 4450 target.

I also have a significant turn date as a high at the eoy.

that last push up was a nice bonus ?

made it an extra special nice day
only one real swing.

but its that time of day again
so got it while its hot !

lol

nice move today. spotted the flag(or possible) flag to 4410. US looks to be nearing a top Dow especially but still think we will be luck to get anything special before New Year

hey, ho - last one closed off and it's just reading and research
for me 'til 2004.

Had a clear out today and came across an old file with charts
from 25 years ago (all lovingly hand drawn of course :) ). There
they were - plessey, tilling, bowring, godfrey davis, bemrose and
the like. Those were the days and for us amateurs, trading was
about buying and selling within the account - none of this day
trading stuff.

I drew support and resistance lines on my charts but trend
lines relied on a ruler (too much rubbing out otherwise). Not an
indicator in sight (too much maths involved) and there were only
3 guys outside the city who knew that fibonnacci wasn't a mob
boss. Wasn't life simple :D funny that my bottom line results
aren't much improved on what they were then despite all this
charting and ta power on tap

barjon
down memory lane ?

those were the days
trading the account .........
cash free trading.

however, going back even further ( )

I inherited a bundle from a relative including
Cortaulds
Dunlop
Thorn
CT Bowring
Tozer Kemsley
Thomas Tilling
Metal Box
Tube Investments
Coats Patons

they were all in the top 100 by turnover
nobody was interested in market cap then.

but I did have a computer
all of 16k memory and a hard disk as well
and a dot matrix printer.

RSI was just catching on.

used to subscribe to Extel cards. Whatever happened to them ?

Pretty good day to day and follow on to yesterdays start of a
new wave.
The 1 day again showed the way with a little help from the macd.

There are no gaps in this current move - they are being filled as
we move up. This is often a sign of strength.
