Free trading videos

Grrr....I am having microphone problems--again! If I have to buy another new pair of headphones (with mic), this will be my third set in under 6 months. This just baffles me. It just does not make any sense at all. I don't throw them against walls (although I want to); I don't let me 2 yr old daughter play with them; And I do not wear them in the rain.

Picture #1 displays the "evil" grinch.

Picture #2 just shows you my trading "cockpit." ;)

PS. If everyone kicked in just $1 I could buy a case of new headphones. LOL Just send sympathy donations via PayPal to [email protected]

Hi Des,

My name is Nav, and I'm from London. I was just searching google looking for some help on how to improve my trading strategy because I recently got burnt by a few stocks which fell down along with the markets recently.
I found your videos (somehow??), and having viewed some of them, I must admit that I have picked up alot from the strategies you apply. What you have done is amazing, I mean, there are not many traders out there that offer a helping hand. Your work is truly amazing, and I just want you to know that all your effort and hard work is really making a difference..

Thanks
Nav

Nav,
How kind of you. Thank you for the encouraging words.

Update:

Hey gang, I'll be in Chicago for some advanced trading courses the next few weeks. I'll be spending some time on the floor of the CBOE. This should be a treat.

d-

Update: At this very moment I am wrapping up six (6) days of advance option, index, ETF, and future classes. My head is officially spinning and I think I am starting to smell burnt brain cells. We also heard presentations from the VP of the Chicago Board of Exchange and the Director of education for the Exchange. The most exciting part (for me) has to be touring the floor of the Exchange. I was actually in the pit of the OEX today during the live market. It's a different world in the pits and so worth every second being able to witness it firsthand.

Also, the close of the commodities exchange was nothing short of exciting. The energy and noise elevated to a CRAZY level right at the close and quickly died off. Everyone wanted to unload their holdings at close so they weren't holding over night.

No one found it in their heart to donate $1 to my pitiful cause for my new set of headphones :) so I broke down and bought another pair (pair #3.) I'll be ready to crank out a few more videos soon.

 Welcome back Des it sounds like you had an exciting time seeing things at the sharp end.

Oh boy you really know how to make me feel a heel, .... how do you want the dollar sent?

Eddie.

Hello Des, I am another newcomer to this site and have been enjoying reading a number of the threads here. When I saw this threads' heading 'Free Trading Videos' I thought, " has to be a catch somewhere or maybe they will be of little training value." However, I feel I have been both educated and entertained by your videos and am looking forward to the next installment!

Keep up the good work.

Another guilt-ridden trainee here, I think I have a dollar bill kicking about somewhere from my last US visit, where should I send it?

LOL....Oh man, Eddie and Actual. I didn't want to make anyone feel like a heel. Geez...now I feel bad.....:)..........I was (half) kidding, but it was a small (very small) test of sorts to merely see how many of those following my "Free Trading Videos" thread. One kind fellow (first name, Richard) sent me a donation. :cheesy: What a guy! Although I shamelessly accepted the donation, I really don't need anyone's money and I certainly do NOT expect it. Save your dollars for something bigger--like this crazy idea I have.

Question: Would you attend a full-day trading seminar (hosted by me) if I were to come to London? This idea has excited me a little bit. Could you all give me some feedback on this?.

I am thinking I would like to take my beautiful wife on a trip to the great county of the United Kingdom--London. To justify the trip I would want the tax benefit of making it a "business trip." This means I would have to conduct a trading seminar. Just the thought of teaching "over seas" is incredibly exciting to me. The seminar would be on "Swing Trading--for the full-time worker." I would teach candlestick charting, entries, exits, stop placements, risk management, and my own favorite strategies. I would also explain how (exactly) I personally traded stocks while working a full-time job, which ultimately helped get me to the place where I could quit my job and trade full-time.

To do this I would have to generate enough money to cover our our expenses. If I were to put on a one-day trading seminar for $500US (per trader) how many of you would be interested in joining me and my wife in London for the event? Many of you have told me if I ever decided to due this to let you know. Let this serve as my official interest to do so. I would need around 15 confirmations before I would buy our plane tickets and book the hotel.

Please ONLY respond either by email or Private Message so others have no reason to "un-subscribe" to this thread. Some people prefer VIDEOS only and little chit-chat on off-topic stuff.

Respectfully,

Des

PS. It looks like I may start sending my videos and "commentary" via email. This would allow you to archive the videos easier for your own trading library. IF you want on my list let me know by sending me your email and name and I'll make sure you're added. Send me your: 1) name and 2) email address to [email protected] might as well put your mailing address down also. If I do end up visiting the great country of the U.K. I will be sending out a letter.

Again my email is [email protected].

Something interesting!

Great set up Des!!! Just to add my two cents....2 sessions before today's candle were a pattern called "Tweezers", which is a good reversal pattern too. Tweezers are basically matching lows after a pull back, or matching highs after rising for a while. if you notice 4-5 trading days ago on the same chart, big white candle and a red candle, Both with matching(almost) highs. It did predict the reversal accurately. I think it does some more probability that this will pop!

Incredible! This thread now has well over 20,000 visits!!! Wow. You guys have also rated the videos and thread a VERY HIGH 4.82 out of 5. This is quite humbling. Thank you so much for your generous ratings and kind emails. This means a a lot to me.

For those that said you wanted to be on my free video email list--you are being added-- I am busy entering them all into my spreadsheet.

Des

PS. If any of you have become more successful trading stocks due to my simple videos would you be so kind to send me a testimonial saying so. This would mean a great deal to me and I may request your permission to use it.

Isn't it wonderful to see people being constructive and doing well by their efforts? The important part is to eliminate what does not work and to concentrate on that which does.

BHP Billiton

Hi

This is a great thread and I am learning all the time. I have only been learning trading about a month and would like some advice on this chart. It seems to be that the price has broken a resistance level which over the past 3 days seems to have become support. I am waiting for it to break the trend line to go long. Could this also be a tweezer top reversal? none of the indicators seem to be suggesting this.

The red MA is 50 and the blue is the 20

I have also attached the weekly chart to look at as well!

Hello: I wish i could plot this chart in my software.....but I dont have the data feed for UK. But from looking at this chart, I wouldn't go long.....Why? Because the breakout is not convincing enough. I typically look at price and volume action first, indicators later. the safest breakout(from my perception) would be when volume is greater than past few days (5-10). a word about Tweezer tops, they are not confirmed untill close below lowest close of the two last sessions. Something about the very last session- its open is the highest point of that day, which looks bearish to me. What does everyone else think?
