DT, Thinking too much. Don't form an opinion. Simple as that. The hard part is then trading.
Of course you have to act on opinion to put a trade on, otherwise you will just sit in front of a screen all day watching the pretty pattern unfold.
You have to differentiate between assuming where you think the market will go (pre emptive and costly), and letting the market tell you of probable outcome.
Had you gone short at a trend line break, you've seen the call was wrong. So get out and reverse.
The market told everyone who cared to look that the point at the trend line was particularly supportive. Conditions were ripe for a bounce off. The market doesn't care if people think it is too ob or os.
How you view the chart is important. Lots of us were looking at the same picture but viewed it different. Some days one lot will be right, other days...
To have some idea of where it will go in the future, you musn't forget the past.
