Fat Prophets

Well it's early days so far, I've only been a member for 6 weeks. I guess once I've been using them for longer I'll get a better idea.

Their published returns looked good and I liked the examples I got sent through.

I signed up for 2 years so over that time period I'll get a better indication of how well it works. A friend of mine recommended them to me, they seem to have done well, so I thought I'd give it a shot. I'm fairly new to this so we'll see how it goes - a good start though! :D

Is this the UK bunch or elsewhere? Now that I know more I wouldn't trust anything I see on a site as it may be skewed somewhat. But good luck, I hope you do better than I did

The australian reports. Their returns are independently audited (and they would be in breach of advertising standards if this was not the case) and they've been around a while.

Thanks, they looked one of the better ones. Hopefully it works well

Hi Springz, its Mark here.
How do you feel are FP performance? on their website theres not a big deal of info, no win-loss ratio, draw downs, winners/losers average bars, recent weekly/monthly returns... Did you make good money following their advice? How many signals could they send per week?
Best regards,
Mark

Surely that's enough lack of information to send you running for the hills?

I wish I'd seen this thread before I subscribed to FP! The latest effort to recover my money, to which they agree I'm entitled, resulted in the comment 'You're in a queue', which suggests they have a lot of people wanting refunds, or, when I asked what the timescale was and was told it could be 'indefinite', could it be that I'm being taken for an idiot?

The only Fat Prophets around as far as I can see, are those taking our money. Don't touch them with a barge pole!

Yes they're taking you for an idiot. I mean you signed up and gave them your money based on some profits they published on their website so in fact you have previously been a bit of an idiot. They will most likely string you along with big promises and all the time trying to extract more money from you. There are probably a hundred outfits like this and it always ends up with people losing their money.

Nobody gives a damn about advertising standards, these guys will lie through their teeth to get your money. If you read this thread from the start you'll see people complaining about them since 2009.

-This is a typical trade of theirs :-where the original trade signal was for 247 pips, which they then later send out another message to shut it for just 63 pips, so the R:R is totally rubbish, but on their site it will look as if they have got another "winner"

What a crock! They don't report their losses. Many of their bad recommendations just disappear. I've called them on it a number of times and they just ignore my emails.
"Breach of advertising standards" - Yeah, right. I've got the perfect bargain investment for you. It's this really cool bridge in Sydney and if you buy today I'll throw in the Opera House. There you can sing your little heart out.

This is untrue. Either produce proof, or retract the statement.

I am sorry and very surprised to read of your experience; but need to know the facts. I would like to know more - perhaps I can resolve

Are you basing this on experience? If so, please provide facts otherwise please retract your statement.

We are a small, specialist indepedent stockmarket research house solely dedicated to the reail investor. As such, we do NOT share the principles - more to the point: lack of same - of many larger financial services firms and banks.

I see you have done a deal with Mr Greg Secker for trader "Training"

I assume you must share the same "principles" as mr Secker?

They have used us to market their services (along with many others) beyond that there is NO relationship.

OK fine but I wouldnt be banging on about your higher principles when you are selling on your client list to 3rd party vendors.

Not "banging on" as you suggest. But we are nothing like the majority of the City, and have many satisfied and loyal clients.

We really can't be held to account for what an advertiser does? I guess one would term it "guilt by association"....

If you had the interests of your clients in mind you would be very selective about who you allow to communicate with them - You want to play the "ethics" card and mail me some rip off training course that opens with..

What are the odds of becoming rich this year?
Lottery players: 1 in 14,000,000
FX Traders: 1 in 10

REALLY ??

Maybe you want to leave this well alone, if its facts you want I could certainly provide them here for all to see.
