Watching people with terrific ideas being forced to give away huge proportions of their prospective businesses to vultures shows the state of entrepreneurialism in this country. If these people tried to raise funds in the US I bet investors would be fighting each other to get on board.
You can't blame the 'Dragons'.For the price of sitting through some dross. They get desperate people pitching to them in the unfamiliar,high-pressure situation of a TV studio. The 'Dragons' then play 'tag' to grind as much equity for the least money they can.(and they probably get an appearance fee for their 'trouble' )!!
There's a business angels network available through the business links. The sums the investees are looking for are modest.I wish some of the ideas had come my way.(The plant waterer and the 2/3D digital measuring device).
