Well, the indicator will run with any warning errors generated. That's why no such questions has been posted by those who have downloaded it.

I just wondering the technical aspect of the warning message as there are only 4 MA modes in MT4 compilation, namely
MODE_SMA
MODE_EMA
MODE_SMMA
MODE_LWMA

Hence, there is no MODE_CLOSE in the standard compilation of MT4 iMA indicator. So I am wondering what smoothing method is used for MODE_CLOSE.

Other index indicators also show the same warning messages.

FXCorrelator loads perfectly.:clap:

Anyway, as the thread posts progress and reveal, even though with the indicator possessing some internal syntax errors, the indicator is making money for the users. I guess that is all that matters.

sine ive never had the warning I have no idea what it is doing ...........they are pretty simple programmes I think........ all using Close , LMWA .........I didn't think I had loaded the SMA versions and SMMA definitely not

to be honest ive expereimented in the past with every form of setting ..............EMA included .......sure it makes it faster and a little more funky but in the end its not that vital to my trading ......on the indexes its real time anyway ..........only the original FXCorrelator indicators are lagging MA based

hey everyone .....remember all my free indicators are in the links are below

have a dig around them as it opens up to a few links and posts ........I probably have about 8-9 indicators loaded there and also a word document re using / loading the basic FXCorrelator ............

sure its a little old now but still relevant - and talks about considering using 2-3 basic default fxcorrelators together for fast/slow signals + my thoughts on using usd and Yen as partners in tandem to support trades ..........

remember this is basic generic stuff for all TF's .......and again I say that I use the currency indexes more these days re scalping as it moves so fast and I need more PA based signals with no lag

but all the principles ae still the same and to truly get into trading Relative strength you need to start on the nursery slopes and understand the concepts ............

interestingly there are a lot of serious traders out there that claim they understand strengthmeters and that they are useless etc etc and tell me so frequently ...........its impossible to make money trading strengthmeters .........

these traders clearly never ever dug deeper than scratching the surface of this specialist area of Forex trading .........ive been studying and designing Strengthmeter strategies for 15 years so have a pretty good understanding of it .........and it does work as good as anything out there for the experienced trader .....believe me .in fact watch my posts at Forexperiens thread .........I don't do tooo bad when I am at the table scalping

so find your edge......... and apply it !!

morning all

jees I really didn't get to the scalping table much last week........a few trades live on Forexmosperians thread that did ok .........but I need to be getting up at 5.30am to get say a decent 90mins in scalping..........then work cuts in

took a few late calls last week from the states as well .....so I wasn't really in the mood to get up at that time !!!

(not exactly rocky approach - eh ?)

anyway..........the reason I chose to scalp now is to trade when I get the chance .........and when I do get time I want to be getting a bang for my bucks ............if I even get 10-15 pips in the bag (plus a few that run a little) that's still a significantly better return than snoozing on longer term trades ...............trust me on that

not that what I do is not suitabl for that approach - it does work ........of course it works .........but I cant be arsed to do it ..........I don't like carrying overnight trades and certainly not weekends with the global markets soooo connected to world events ..............a lot can happen in a few hours as we sadly see ...and a weekend is a lifetime ..........a lifetime

give me 1 min trading anyday ..it is more predictable than carry trades

SELLS
red GBP was weak most of the week......tuesday was the drop ......only the greay Swissie was near having a really bad days Wednesday then Friday

BUYS
Yellow Yen and turquoise NZD were the best bets for buys .....yen only dropped daily pips on Wednesday and NZD had a strng Wednesday

BEST trade of the week (From sunday night openings) SELL G/J
BEST USD trade of the Week (same basis) SELL GU

jees long day ...........tooo tired to trade now ............heres my take on the usd today

jees that early London was tricky ........I only made a handful

3 easy / obvious signals today on the greenback on chart ........

1 and 2 were usd buys back into the strong Asian session

3 is where the us session breaches London / Asian lows reconfirming bear usd ....now that signal is after a 20 pip fall already on the usd !!! ............if you were an aggressive trader you could have anticipated the high that was late London (shown in red)........you could have made a hatful there if a decent secondary currency was offering drop dead buys ..........or played it safer

your money - your risk ..........

heres my last comment on chasing usd this morning before I left ............clearly marked sell areas and buy areas ........

soooo a little selling just after I left then BOOM ........safe buying from say 9am............sure it stuttered up slowly but jees what a US session so far :smart:

GBP ........jees its dumped nearly 150 pips today so far .................probably the Syrian vote ?

swissie , Cad usd all the bull players

the main winners were blue euro and swissie
