1. 2 Aug 2024 Close Prices checked against Yahoo historical data.
2. 30 Aug 2024 Close Prices pulled from Google Finance - and match Yahoo historical data (when US opens these prices will live update)
Example: Cell E3: =GOOGLEFINANCE("NYSE:TSM"), Cell E4: =GOOGLEFINANCE("NASDAQ:INTC")
3. The chart labeled SMCI (above Chart Posts link) is CRWD (see watermark) - these two meant to be separate charts, but a #up.
4. UBER was missed to be included - so, is on a separated line in the spreadsheet. Another #up.
5. Light green = profit. Light red = loss. Bright blue cyan = 100% or > profit. (whoever, is responsible for the palette at google should be shot !)
6. When a target of 100% or > hit, the cell will turn bright blue cyan (set as required in Conditional Formatting). When profits decided to be taken the GoogleFinance price updating link can be knocked-out and the price set as a final static non updating record.
Google Sheets -
7. Adding columns - the formula at Cell E16: =Sum(E3:E15)
8. The P n L % formula use - Example Cell G3: =((E3/D3)-1)*100 (this is faster - for me - on hand help calculators, so, second nature - the calculator does not require the brackets)
9. This is probably more intuitive and also will work for Pn L %: =((E3-D3)/D3)*100
Note: Formulas are copy and pasted from the imaged working spreadsheet. If formulas are not working for you - check, what you have done.
Any number of online calculators
The calculator return value will be seen match that of the spreadsheet at Cell G3.
Percentage increase calculator calculates the increase of one value to the next in terms of percent.
