Added some funds to my account over the weekend for margin increases! Just as well...

held a very small stakes ftse long over the weekend (from 6670) and believe it or not (as I don't normally trade fx) a cable short (small stakes)... based on probability of markets oversold last week on US election narrative (cable same plus Brexit high court judgement overreaction).

Now I know we all whinge about the broker when gapped in the opposite direction but they gave me the gap up past my limit....:cheesy:

Thinking pump into election and sell off afters.. (cable and index)

ftse sp 6770 and rez 6800 atm.

Sitting on my hands for now!

Generally financial markets prefer the status quo, ie always prefer a candidate who give continuity with the previous presidency to a candidate who can take little predictable contours. This preference overrides any political color; markets simply prefer the less uncertain candidate.
