Anyone scalping the FTSE Futures??

Why does it always turn into a Greased up Bitch Fest..................wonder why i don't post much on here anymore............think we have been here before.........

Mate....maybe its because certain people on here don't like the lime light being taken away from them or new traders being better than them or something along those lines...no idea. But from the 300-400 pages of this thread I skimmed through it seems to be the same 2 or 3 members who continually started it each time.

So imo...there's your problem.

But forget about it....keep calm and carry on. :whistling

Happy day's.

I actually know Martin the founder/creator of this actual thread. Thinks hes working on some property or something that he bought a few months ago.

I like this!

Fair play to TriXx who is actually posting something of live trades and analysis to go with.

Postie, come on, we all know there isn't a perfect entry or exit, unless its executed in line with your personal plan.

I don't agree with the no stops strategy. It would wipe out my account if I played it that way. I'm a 15 point stop guy, but then again I'm on average a 10 point profit per trade guy too. So my profit/loss ratio is pretty bad on paper but with a 68% success rate I still make money.

I'm 45 points up today

is it really that hard to just say nice trade, and have an intelligent back and forwards about each others strategies, without it turning into a you got lucky, you don't really know what you're doing fest?

Isn't what this forum/thread was supposed to be. Like minded people having open discussions and a sharing of knowledge?

It reads like the established "big dogs" of the thread, are getting their noses put out of joint, and the response is frankly childish.

We all know that there are many ways to trade and look at the charts, and some ways are diametrically opposed.

I joined this forum to learn, discuss and banter. I stopped posting because of the egos, and god forbid anyone should have a different opinion.

Shame

Nice trades this morning Trixx. I don't trade DAX, don't confess to know the levels or reason for them, I stick to FTSE, but it's clear asking is going to get lost between the rubbish.

Hey. Been a while. Hope you're all doing well at hte casino.
I tend to restrict myself to 1 post per week in Atillas competition thread nowadays! lol

nice day. Missed the morning drop as I was at the hospital. (not to mention that I don't think any of my methods would have actaully caught any of taht drop. it came a bit 'out of nowhere' for my liking)
However, was able to catch a 2nd bit of the move and also caught a decent long.
Good enough.

Completed its ATR very very early today the DAX. The overshoot zone I highlighted 8900/35 was solid and when DAX completes its ATR that early in the day, then very often there is a 50-61% retracement of the days range.

Probably say its close to 75% of the time the DAX does this when is cooked up its ATR by 11am. The you have the U.S. algos coming online around 11-12pm then the U.S IB's 30 minutes later. So it becomes a bit of a dice roll now.

I don't think that's the case. One of the attractions of this thread is that is has generally be free of the "look at me, aren't I just the greatest" types although the odd one or two have looked in from time to time.

The U.S. 3Q GDP figure was 3.5% which exceeded expectations. Gave the bulls a bit of extra ammo I guess.

Not sure if he said it was a house or if it was some land he bought, can't actually remember, but he bough one of them lol. I do remember he said it was going to take a bit of time to work on.

At the beginning of today’s session in Europe markets started the session slightly higher to reverse within the first hour of trading. Investors react to the announcement of the Fed’s meeting yesterday and to the results published this morning.

The US markets closed yesterday without major fluctuations. The Fed meeting was the main event of the day and caught little enthusiasm that had come to cheer investors in previous days.

The Federal Reserve’s decided to end its asset-purchase program, which had begun in September 2012 and which was one of the drivers of the equity markets during this period. According to a release, the interest rates will remain at low levels for “an extended period of time.”
