Anyone scalping the FTSE Futures??

The S & P 500 index is losing strength and has ended the string of five weeks of gains, with the idea that the Fed will raise interest rates sooner than expected.

The rise in retail sales was in line with the predictions of many economists.

The consumer sentiment index rose to 84.6 in September from 82.5 in the previous month.

The central bank, which meets on September 16-17, informed that the reference rates will remain low for a considerable time.

The S&P 500 closed at historical maximum in September 05, after a rally of five consecutive weeks, the longest streak of gains of the year. The index did not show a single sequence of four days of losses in all 2014, and the last time it fell more than 10 percent was three years ago.

Major industries in the S&P 500 fell today. Oil prices dropped on concern that global oil demand is slowing.

Ashraf at city index saying that we are in for a wild time in stocks/index for the coming week
reason...fomc minutes on wednesday 7pm ukfed is getting more hawkish and might issue guidance on interest rate rise....bad for markets
all gbp crosses...after last weeks wildness..could continue until Scot vote finalised

we thrive on the volatility on this thread

"wild time" vix has collapsed,

ah....but...what does that mean ??
ok..tell us
we like things simple...no long words
now...if we look carefully and plot the close
daily data
we can see that price strted a down trend after nfp on 5th sept

ddcf1w.gif

this was difficult to see on 1 hour and 4 hour because of all the messing around
price broke on friday/aqua
strategy for last week was short rallies which we outlined in the dax chart last weekend
looks like we will get more of the same this week coming

Daxy...you little hummer
you played right into our hands
you thought you could fool us....we saw you
note...we said last weekend that it was due for profit taking
note the top
a move down to the breakout point/yellow a bounce...now retesting it
trend support now in the mix aswell/aqua
dax futures 4 hour data

lastly a look at ES/spx futures
looking at the daily/close plot to eliminate all the mess
we see the X column hit the top on 5th sept..nfp
we moved into a down column O
price recoiled into an up column X and went straight to the breakdown poit/aqua horizontal
price then reversed into a down column and we got a breakdown point/orange horizontal on friday
price action was predictable once you eliminated all the rubbish

What's the thinking about this Ali Baba flotation? Will other stocks be sold to raise money to buy shares in this? It involves billions and, if successful, will suck up money from somewhere. The institutions will have made their moves already.

The Alibaba IPO is the only reason stocks are up this high. Couldnt have a crash _before_ the float.
Once retail and Joe public are loaded up with stock we're in for a correction. :devilish:
Just my twisted opinion, its not like I can tell the future. ;)
