ftse traded weak vs dow on Wednesday, but strong again yesterday - must be prices being kept up in anticipation of all that vodaphone money flooding in

From The Trader

Daily market outlook
21 February 2014

EUROPEAN OVERVIEW

Equities’ rally is still in good shape. The S&P is knocking on the door of its all-time highs once more. Not being overbought, it is well placed to burst through this level. I believe a lot more traders will likely be persuaded to join in at that point. There’s nothing like a break to new highs to dispel bearish chatter and draw money off the sidelines. Best of all, few retail punters here seem to believe it. I see that three-quarters of traders in the S&P at one firm are short right now. Scepticism, of course, makes the perfect backdrop to ongoing gains.
Today's Market Focus
DAX powers onwards
DAX powers onwards

While I was expecting a pullback in the overbought DAX, I didn’t expect it to go all the way to the 55-EMA. No matter, though, the German index is rebounding and I believe it is on the way to the highs at 9794.

DAY: Stay long or buy a bounce off the 21-HOURLY EMA.

POSITION: Stay long or get long on a bounce off the 13-fourhourly EMA.
