Anyone scalping the FTSE Futures??

Super Mario got what he wanted, a weaker euro.
Wow today was a very interesting day. Shorted the dow and the ftse early on. Had no idea when to exit.
So staggered my exits all afternoon. Only £1 a point on the dow and £2 on the ftse.
With various new entrys at the minimum stake, just in and out as the dow plunged.
Never thought the indicies would drop so far so quickly.
The dow recovered very well against the ftse. If the dow hits 14000 again I'll short it again. Maybe next week..................

Aggressive volume selling us stocks in the morning and drift higher on low volume in the afternoon if we can't push up to make a new high for the week expect selling pressure again tomorrow very suprised to see the Dow settling up here after this morning rout

Good mourning everyone. I'm staying on the sidelines today. Way too much went on yesterday.
Just watching to see where markets go today to look for a possible entry, otherwise will wait till next week.
Markets down one day and then up the next.

Markets so whippy, they dont know which way to go, cannot believe the selling yesterday only for the dow to close just down 40 ! Also Good Morning !

mornin' all

late on parade this morning - see if we can get the same shenanigans as yesterday:LOL:

10:00am strikes - wonder what it is that often causes a flurry of activity at this time

yesterday ftse in the morning was much weaker than dow/sp500 perhaps traders were shorting FTSE to protect/hedge US longs

It's Not The Economy, It's Not Earnings, It's The Season - Seeking Alpha

This guy's articles are worth reading. It is interesting what he has to say about Draghi's speeches:
'Quants are now buying all central bank meeting days that don't produce negative developments. In other words, buy the absence of bad news, and buy harder anything that seems market-friendly.'

This may explain why the Dax tends to rally so strongly during Draghi's speeches.
