Amazon.co.uk doesn't publish bad reviews

Is it just my experience or they really stopped publishing reviews.
I bought two very lousy books on trading and wanted to share my critical view with UK readers. I submitted reviews to both amazon.com and amazon.co.uk. American counterpart appeared almost immediatley on the web-site, UK site hasn't done it for already 3 weeks.
If you come across these books, just don't even think of buying them - complete waste. For a persistant buyer I can offer then for 1/4 of the price.

1. Fibonacci and Gann Applications in Financial Markets: Practical Applications of Natural and Synthetic Ratios in Technical Analysis (Hardcover) George MacLean
2. Applying Elliott Wave Theory Profitably (Hardcover) Steven W. Poser

The last one has a wealth of positive feedbacks on uk and on com-sites which are truly amusing though.

Mutual back slapping is now the vogue I'm afraid. If a book gets too many 5 star reviews one can assume it's not a fair assessment. If publishers are willing to pay up to £50K to get poll position in Waterstones then it would be naive to assume these practices don't go on elsewhere. Also another indicator is how many used copies are for sale.

One can perhaps tell by the title and name of the books author whether it really is worth the money.
'Applying Elliot Wave theory Profitably' by a Mr. Poser doesn't ring my bell I'm afraid!

I have had similar experiences with Amazon... In one case I wrote one of the first reviews of a recently published book... Low rating as there were many inconsitencies in the book and much of it was self-hype style of writting. I thought I was being generous with the two stars... After a few days my posting didn't appear. Then my posting was published, along with about 5 other postings all with 5 stars, short but positive reviews - it was as if they had read a different book. It definitely wiffed of 'publisher manipulation'.
