2000i historical data problems 1897-1910

Hope someone can help me.... I have some long term Dow Jones data that I want to use in tradestation. I have data from 1897-1910 in Metastock format. When I go to create a chart, the start and end date do not show correct dates. I get start and end dates of 1997-2010. The day and month however are correct. I then use the calendars to enter the correct start and finish dates and it just returns me to a blank workspace. Does tradestation not permit me to use data that is earlier than 1910? How do I format the start and end dates correctly? Thanks

I'm having the same problem, even though Global server supposedly lets you import data from various formats.

If you have found a sloution I would be grateful if you would post it
