FTSE100 - December 2004

maxpain & peterpr

Thank you for your replies

Very interesting the manner in which posts are taken. I am not certain if it is my sense of humour that causes the problem or whether it is the British sense of humour that eludes the non British. Perhaps some British posters would care to comment.I never intend to antagonise; tease and leg pull, yes.

Long or short I've lost with the best of them. I am trying to improve my trading but I regret to say not my sense of humour.

I am not aquainted with Rev Smith but if he trades the markets he is a wise man not to have opinions they lock one in so. Views are far better.

Well I suppose its time for me to socialise on another thread, who knows I might even ask an intelligent question or attempt to give a reasonable answer.

Yoiks, Tallyho and don't spare the horses.

Regards

Bracke:
For those that know (and appreciate)! your superb dry sense of humour, your slightly sarcastic but always non-malicious & harmless lil witticisims often come as blessed light relief in the all too serious business of trading....so pleaseeeeee!... don't be deterred by the odd bod who perhaps just happens to be on a slightly different wavelength

Socialise @ will ...'tis the party season after all

Merry Christmas and a Guid New Year to one and all :cheesy:

Thank you alliance, you've made me feel all embarressed.

I know I should be more careful in the manner of my posts but the opportunities are too good to miss. The mind is willing but the flesh is weak.

Perhaps in future I will blame it on interference on the wavelengths.

Regards

bracke - posting on a number of wavelengths but unfortunately not yet tuned in to the Swedish one

Bracke - et al

I'll probably have a peek at the markets tomorrow but, like all but the most devious and calculating (or devoted??) among us, I'm all square and looking forward to a damned good break - Inc "Tallyho" for a Boxing Day bonanza and Stuff his Toniness

Maxpain: you'll probably do OK on that short tomorrow - just take care because I still think there's a bit more upside left into the NY

Merry Christmas to all + a happy and profitable NY to everyone

A Merry Christmas to You too (short FTSE!)

High risk for terminal bears only I'd say Max (but I hope you get a few points out of it.....!.... :cheesy: )

Generally the evidence suggests it's starting a new leg up imho......

Merry Christmas All...... ;)

I´m expecting further distribution on top or close to the top for the next days/weeks before they have to reload the batteries at lower levels. 4600 late Feb?

It is interesting to observe the apparent lack of impact that the earthquake/wave damage has had on the markets. It suggests that they are not as fragile as we may think.

how splendid it must be for US troops in Iraq to see the stock market soar as the rocket propelled grenades continue to take their toll. Human suffering cannot be factored into trading-the old 'give a cr*pometer ' is not even wobbling.

Emotions doesn´t drive the indexes. Earnings & Yields do. Things are happening at the moment within the currency and raw material markets which will have an affect on the stock market.
Happy New Year!

I dare say that markets are not affected by disaster as we in the rich western nations have not been directly affected. On the contrary shares of companies selling earthquake detection equipment have gone up (per CNN). We in the west are howvever trying to help the affected nations - thank goodness for that
