"With immediate support now at the Upper channel (Green-dotted), it must hold well to see further upward move. If not, we may see a retracement...back to the 10940/50 zone..."

The Dow opened at 11043.1 and cuts slowly thru immediate support at the 11020/30 level to the low of 10951.2 to finally close at 10962.4 for a -81 point loss.

Support at the Lower channel (Green-dotted) held well but will determine if its going to retrace downwards further with targets at 10880/90 (38.2%) and then 10840/50 (50%). For the Dow to resume its strength, we would like to see a full candle above the 11020/30 level, otherwise, look for further consoildation between Upper & Lower channel (Green-dotted).

Our Stop is still in place just below 10940 mark.

The Dow traded a mere 40-point range on Friday ahead of Monday's holiday.
With lower channel (Green-dotted) pierced, a bearish outlook seems to be underway with retracements back to lower levels at the 10880 (20MA) and 10800/10 (50MA). But although it did not hold well at the 10940/50 level (lower Green-dotted), it did manage to close above it, creating also a possible resumption of uptrend.

The Upper channel (Green-dotted) is brought higher as indicated by chart and consolidation is now between 11050 to 10950. As the tug-of-war between the Bulls and the Bears continue, a breakout of either channel will give a clearer indication of the next direction. We took a -34 point loss for our last bet and is sidelined currently.
