What software? Chart, custom indicators, backtest. Feed from IB or OEC

Please advise what software can use feed from IB and/or OEC and be able to produce good charts and have own language to write custom indicators and backtest programmes.

Try quotetracker as it is free (if you can put up with ads) and is pretty good in my view. For a more advanced package you can use Tradestation 2000i and there are others but I am unsure which.

I am having so much questions... I need to make practical step and move away from SB to Broker..

I think I will upgrade my CPU to Quad core (this week) and put up with IB charting and trial Sierra. When I will get acquainted with DOM and other advanced IB features (comparing to SB simplified software) then I will look for more sophisticated tool boxes.

Alhtough I still think that may be I'd try OEC before moving to IB (although ping is 3 times as bigger!). May be I need to move to US for a month and cut the ping ? 😈
