Ways to be a successful Trader

When I worked at an SB firm, I used to go thorough the accounts of winning traders. Look at what they were trading, see if i could work out why and how the did what they did. The one thing i found interesting about the winning accounts is that I could not find a single one that traded FOREX. They were all trading equities or Indexes.
