About a year ago i came across this thread:
http://elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=5859 http://elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=5859
I applyied it to UK stocks and the portfolio grew by 45%. Mostly construction compaines etc with low PE's.
I then re-did the analysis a week ago and the portfolio is already up nearly 2% (including commisions and bid/ask spread etc and the terrible down day a few days ago). I was wondering if anybody does any type of 'buy n hold' investing rather than holding a stock for just a few days etc and how they are getting along with it.
Would a method similar to this work on a small time basis (like a day or two) rather than on a yearly scale? Got me thinking though.
