American Capitalism Has Failed Us: We're Overworked, Underemployed and More Powerless than Ever Before
Denmark, Norway and Sweden are all thriving under democratic socialism. Why is it so difficult for us to embrace?

  1. Socialism may work when you do not have to pay for all those illegal immigrants.
  2. They are also extremely homogeneous societies. This is extremely beneficial to them.

I am sure many here in the UK would like to offer their condolences and sympathy to the victims' families of the Orlando massacre.
These attacks seem to be happening around the world with increasing frequency .
What to do to stop them remains doubtful. The FBI had him on their radar but failed to act.

Orlando
Trump - we need more guns
Clinton - we need less guns

They can't both be right.
Bill Clinton is saying assault rifles should not be sold on the high streets. Sounds right to me.

As someone pointed out countries get the results they deserve. But policies once completed can't be undone so easily. Plus the rhetoric to the home voters may be quite impractical to implement.
Take the Fallujah situation. It will cost a lot of lives to retake this town from IS. Could it be taken by unconventional means such as drones in the air and on the ground - probably.

Guns don't kill people, people do

"Violence escalates with firearms in major Swedish cities. Since 2010, five times as many shots injured, and four times as many shot dead, in the Swedish cities compared to the neighboring countries' capitals together. "

You are right people do but a lunatic can kill a lot more people and a lot faster with an assault rifle than a knife.
Can an ordinary person buy an assault rifle in Sweden ?

A US civil war is not so far away.
So does the USA need more guns - to protect themselves or less guns - hoping the extremists can't find a ready supply ?

And the same old "guns don't kill people, people do" nonsense.

It is indeed strange how countries that involve themselves in others' affairs tend to explode internally. Like Syria's occupation of The Lebanon. Could it hold true for bigger countries ? Possibly but would take longer.
