Qinetiq was the uk governments top secret military research centre.. and floated early last year . They have developed a range of technologies many with commercial applications in addition to owning a plethora of intellectual property rights in a number of areas but alas it's top secret! However. I do believe that the hidden value of their IP is significant and I wouldn't be surprised to see them spinning off a number of new tech companies in the medium to long term - releasing alot of value.

The kicker is also that many consider the stock a bid target - when the governement sells or reduces it's golden share...

Chartwise - we have a low (all time low) at 160 and now what appears to be a higher low around the 180-83 mark so maybe just maybe we could get a trend going ???

We are trying to base at 166p only 6p above all time lows hit around 12m ago..
I'm stashing these away like a crazy squirrel........

I've already told the market this will be another anglo or rio ... but lately they think I'm having them on ......:cheesy:

They have fallen from 80+ and hit 52 again intraday on 16/10. Why does everybody hate them (for now anyway) ?? Paradoxically they are up today when other miners are down!

I still believe we have seen the lows a year ago at around 27... so I see this pullback as a medium to long term accumulate... after all it won't become a rio/anglo by the end of this year 😆

Phytopharm (PYM) was all the rage a few years back .... once well over 600p now under 40p. Since we seem to be on the verge of another big theme .. listening to the NEWS it could be OBESITY.

Phytopharm are famous for their work on Hoodia extract as an aid to weight control...

The stock is virtually at all time lows .... perhaps a tipster or two over the coming weeks might change that ? 😆

Alizyme (AZM) around 80p might be another one to look at

Moni - very recent spin off from Morse. Company is into mobile banking or transactions using the mobile phone to make payments/transfer or check balances via text/sms etc...

Made lows under 13p some weeks ago and now seems to be on the way up.
-1 in 3 people in uk will be able to access mobile banking this quarter.
-they have a deal in US to take mobile banking to the Yanks ...monitise is the global leader in mobile banking.

We had the initial flurry to around 21p and are now in profit-taking move to set up the next upwave which will probably coincide with the launch of their service in the huge US
market......

This is the sort of sexy story which makes stocks go bezerk so on this pbk I will be buying in advance of what should be a media frenzy (amongst the tipsters anyhow)

I've been following this one for a while..... they are consolidating the drug and alcohol testing services across Europe. Standard industry consolidating stuff perhaps except for the fact that drug and alcohol testing might be set to become a growth area...
I can think of no other reason why the smart guys who set this up would be so interested.

Putting aside my assertion about potential market growth ... the company will grow by acquisition and aims to be a major player in the space.

However, if testing does become more "widespread" as I suspect it might then this become a really sexy opportunity....

Price is flat but schroders and fidelity are getting involved .... they tend to know what they are doing (although the business model is simple enough to understand 🙂cheesy: ) )

I like this one alot cos it reminds me of stocks like intertek (itrk) another larger testing/inspection company which is flying.... lets not even mention inspicio (inp).

So two analogues are doing well and concateno remains in a "relatively" sedate condition ... how long will that last ??
