As more and more people become aware of the teachings of Islam and begin to speak about it openly, the more the authorities introduce legislation in an attempt to silence the discussion - why?

The depressing aspect is that governments seem willing to give up the freedoms of the Westernised world to favour non-Western ideas - why?

Where do these authorities think this is leading to? The treatment of Kashoggi is not an example to be followed, why are these Western govts treading the same path as the Saudis?

Wouldn't feel too sorry for Khashoggi as he was a US CIA agent of sorts and an instrumental key player as a go between the Saudis and Osama bin Ladin operations in Afghanistan against the Russians and more recently as a contact to Al-Qaida.

Question is what's going on between the US and the Sauidis. Bit of disagreement possibly. MBS has upset many and some of those may be spending their money in the US to see him belittled and eventually over thrown.

I also notice the rhetoric is much less than that in the Russian poisining Skripal case. Recently heard he was still active selling secrets and thus why he was knocked off. Spooks know the risks and both guilty who got their just deserts braking contracts with states - deemed act of treason.
