I've used Scottrade Elite and have done only longer term trades where transactions typically occur executing a limit ( or stop ) when I'm not even present.
I'm trying Think or Swim paper trading platform and am pretty close to funding and trading with this system, but this trading would be a little more active.
What I want to do...which I don't know if it's possible is...
1. Place my buy order with my stop loss at the same time (know how to do that). This way, right from the get go I have my insurance in place against tanking.
2. I want to be able to manually sell with a single market or limit order that I push the button on, but I don't want to have to cancel the stop loss before I can make my manual sell trade. I want to be able to be fast...and do it manually.
I don't think this is possible...but I'm curious to know if I'm wrong...and/or other creative ways people have been able to be quick manually selling on the upside, but know that that stop loss is always in place incase internet crashes/power outages/medical emergencies.
Gurus...what would you say?
