Interesting comment from Tony Hetherington in The Mail on Sunday (9th Nov) about European Mediation.

Says Trading Standards and Consumer Direct (the Government's advice service) have received numerous complaints about several firms (who offer to get money back from scam and boiler room victims) INCLUDING European Mediation.

hetherington remarks and I quote that 'its staff claim to recover victims' money from an EU compensation fund and demand a deposit of 10% of the claim's value upfront. However NO such fund exists"

how do these scams work? The take money up front and run? Do you send money to them or do they have some phoney clearing firm as well
