i agree with your preferred wavevcount snowrider. except i dont like that it's so unflexible. what are you going to do when none of your 2 scenarios are fulfilled? i much rather follow along having a rough idea about the waves ... i dont even label so much, only gets me confused :whistling

Yes, I agree with you that the market could have infinitely many possible ways of moves. What I label on the chart is maybe the simpliest or the most possible wave counts. I really don't rule out any possible alternatives.
 
Ok, I see, flexibilty is key in order to not miss out and cut losses.
