Is it possible to put an order on SETS to sell (or buy) all or nothing?

i think you can load in a limit at a price all or nothing, but it woud have to go bid/offered before you could get filled

I was on the bid but have to pull it out near the end of the day just in case I get hit with 1 share or something and too late to do anything about it.

What i mean is i think you can load an AON order into sets but if your buying it'll only trigger if it goes offered at your price in your size.

why do you get locked in if your get a part fill? I onlytraded CFD so I dont know these things.

If he gets it in only 1 share and the market closes he may well be charged the commission on that partial amount and also if he never got filled again in anymore would still have to pay the comm to close the position of 1 share.

So I am right in thinking you cannot do AON on this bid order? I suppose it would upset the SETS system if you could. For example would you still take precedence over the next order (not AON)at the price?

As far as i can remember, it's just hidden and fills you when all is available.

yes, basically it's like a fill or kill but would be left as a limit and only filled if it could be done in one trade

I might be completely misunderstanding (not really reading posts thoroughly), but if you're talking about a limit entry FOK, say for example 1,000 lots, chances are you're only going to get filled on a blip. Unless I'm missing something, which I probably am.

It's more in the context of FTSE stocks, but the thinking being...

I want to buy 10000 of Tesco, but i don't want to just get filled in 10 shares as it breifly blips down then have to pay the comm on the scrap if it never fills me in my size.

I'm not a fan of them myself as i'd rather get some done and then pay up for the rest if i have to, but it's what works for you.

trading at 125 -30 you have a limit to buy at 123..

price flies straight down to 115-120 but you get stuffed at 123 as it "blips" down.

or

you're long at 125 stop loss all or nothing at 120, price "blips" down, takes you out of all and then goes back up to 125
