Hi traders,

I am new on this forum, but not new to trading. I want to use this thread to showcase the result of trading approach developed to grow a shoestring budget with Option trades.

I want to experiment how long it will take to initiate 20 option trades with at least 50% minimum ROI per trade.

All Option trades will be posted as soon as orders are filled. I may also post screenshots of the account....

Market: U.S. Equities and Options

Risk per trade: 0.16 on $1.00 or 0.25 - 0.30 on every trade that cost between $1.80 and $3.50.

Maximum duration per trade: 2 Days

Available capital: $3,700.00

Let the trades begin.

I closed GLD position for $360.00 (Commissions included). I hate scalping, but I cannot pass up trading opportunities that show up during trading hours.

Day trading is not my thing because I am experimenting my trading rules for capital growth, so please disregard any position posted on this thread that generates less than 50% .

Next...

STC 20 Contracts of QQQ March 18 2016 104 Call @ $1.92

Commissions: $17.95

I will not be available to monitor the trade, so I bailed. The index may continue the uptrend tomorrow, but will likely trade lower than today's close; that will be the right time to buy Call Options.

I will try more index trades this week...

Very few people are willing to post evidence of a trade here. I look forward to more posts.

By the way, if I may ask, why options?
Options are the most difficult instruments to trade with Technical Analysis. I intend to show traders, especially those with flair for Options, that it is possible to grow a shoestring budget to six digits account with outright purchase of Options. Many of my targeted traders will not touch Forex or E-Minis with a long pole.

I'm in the process of starting a similar thread for Forex account.

I hope your Forex thread keeps to the same format. None of the other Forex threads show any proof of any trading activity besides the posting of pictures.

I do not know a lot about options, so I look forward to this thread.

Thanks for your comments on this thread. I intend to keep this thread going for a long time.

I have seen that Forex is by far easier than Options, though many Forex traders are still trying to learn the ropes. Oh well, I will set up a Forex account by March ending and start a thread in keeping with this format.

It's going to be live trades and real money!

Be it a live or a demo account, I just prefer to see evidence of trading activity. I do not know what the purpose of typing "scalp buy this" or "up x pips" is. It seems like an exercise in futility.

You said you are using technical analysis for options and that people believe that technical analysis is difficutl to apply to options. Technical analysis can be applied to equities because I do it all the time; thus, equity based derivative products should allow for the same thing.

Will you be showing how you use technical analysis for options? :)

I don't run commentaries or provide reasons behind my trades. I simply buy and sell based on my trading rules.

Could you, or anyone on this board, please point me to any brokerage firm that offers good trading platform for Forex?

I downloaded a platform offered by a ''reputable online'' company for Demo account to have a feel of their Charting utility. I don't like their chart and how some indicators appear on the chart.

Forex is easier than options, but I need to know more than chart reading and order placement to make the most out of Forex trading platform. I need a trading platform that is easy to use.

I use Interactive Brokers and I like them. Additionally, they have the best commissions of any broker I can find and they have the widest range of products. I use them from time to time for Forex to trade international products.

If you're curious you can look at my journal called "Trades For Any Region". I have some Forex trades posted there.
