I was looking at the FTSE 100 index on Sierra Charts, and noticed it runs past 18.30, which is outside of the main trading timetable for SETS (8.00am-4.30pm)
I just wondered if anybody knew why? Is it because they incorporate pricing from futures or off-exchange transactions?
Whilst we're on the subject as well, I have heard that most LSE trading now occurs off exchange. If this is true, I'm guessing it is possible to trade on these off-exchange markets outside of LSE hours? If so, how are trades priced on these exchanges? Or are the off-exchange markets closed at the same time as the FTSE.
Sorry for the questions, thanks in advance.
