Moving to Dubai ... help needed!

I need to relocate to Dubai in January 2005.I would still like to carry on trading, but would like to have a second part time income.Is there anybody from Dubai(or anyware in the world) that has any suggestions or ideas or contacts that i could use? :?:

I was involved in setting up a couple of companies in Dubai a few years ago, and know that most 'foreign' companies work from Free Zones in Dubai. From memory there are three which are the ones to be in - Dubai Internet City, Jebel Ali, and the name of the 3rd escapes me.

So as you will be a foreigner, I would suggest you are more likely to find work in these places, and this is where you're likely to find South African companies you know of. The links to them are:

Forgot to say, the labour laws in UAE are quite different, so you may want to spend some time finding out about them now. The website I used to use tamimi.com doesn't seem to be 'live', but use the following link to give you a summary:

Use the Search at the bottom of the Jebel Ali link in my post above, and by searching by country of origin, you will find 12 South African companies there with contact numbers, etc.

Anyway, that should keep you busy for the next few months before you go out there!

dont do anything naughty - they will cut your head off - or worse .

.....cutting head off will be a relief....as they cut off many parts but head generally....!!!
