Metatrader EA and Spread betting

Hi - I want to start trading Forex with a SpreadBetting broker like FXCM or any other which use the MetaTrader platform. Would I be allowed to trade using an EA on Metatrader ? or do the Spreadbetting rules disallow robots and EAs ?
