Market volume and liquidity are extremely thin at that time of year. Big banks or funds can easily push prices around by putting through large orders. Also a few soundbites or even medium impact economic data released can make markets go very erratic, which is what you were seeing.

also it would have been easy to make money,but im sure there would be others reading it the other way and losing everytime. ive been bunged up so far this week and couldnt be bothered to post,hopefully feel a touch better tomorrow.
