Water... with Egypt up there on the list of those likely to start the thing...
of course, this is ideal: If you're going to have a world war, the third world is an ideal place to have it, there's bugger all there.
Then we can all invade France
the first 7 world wars (ie multi-continent, multi-country participants) were all started by France.
The wars we know of as WW-I and WW-II should correctly be labelled WW-VIII and WW-IX
No sign of a new Napoleon, yet, but considering the UK fought on the "wrong side" in the last two world wars, I wouldn't bet against the French upsetting the apple-cart again
THE NAPOLEONIC WARS WERE STARTED BY THE AUSTRIANS, PRUSSIANS, AND THE BRITISH WITH OTHER MINOR SUPPORTERS, ALL PART OF A EUROPE WIDE COALITION OF MONARCHIES INTENT ON REVERSING THE FRENCH REVOLUTION AND RE-INSTALLING A KING. THE PRIVILEGED CLASSES THROUGHOUT THE CONTINENT DIDN'T LIKE THE IDEA OF COMMON PEOPLE HAVING ANY REAL SAY IN THEIR LIVES, THIS IS WHAT NAPOLEON WAS DEFENDING. HE MAY HAVE GOT CARRIED AWAY WITH HIMSELF, LATER BECOMING EMPEROR, BUT HE WAS NO HITLER.
THAT IS A VERY BIASED SUMMARY YOU COMMIE!
INTACT, YOU COULD SAY THAT THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN NO NAPOLEON, IF THE BRITISH HAD JUST MINDED THEIR OWN BUSINESS, IF THEY HAD JUST BROWN NOSED THEIR ROYAL FAMILY AND LANDED GENTRY.
AND BEFORE ANYONE SAYS 'OH YEAH, BUT WHAT ABOUT WATERLOO', HERE'S THE TRUTH. THE BRITISH ON THEIR OWN WOULD HAVE BEEN WIPED OFF OF NAPOLEON'S BOOTS AT WATERLOO, THE BRITS ONLY MADE UP 20% OF THE OPPOSING ARMY, THE FRENCH WOULD HAVE WON IT, IF a) THE PRUSSIANS HADN'T ARRIVED AT THE LAST MINUTE WITH ANOTHER 55,000 TROOPS, ADDING TO AN ALREADY LARGER ARMY THAN THE FRENCH AND b) IF NAPOLEON HADN'T BEEN SUFFERING FROM HORRENDOUS PILES THAT DAY. THE WINTER OF 1812 IN RUSSIA WAS THE BEGINNING OF THE END FOR THE FRENCH. WELLINGTON WAS BORN IN DUBLIN, HENCE A FLUKEY IRISHMAN.:clover:
PUT THAT IN YOUR PEEPS, YOU ROSBIFS. VIVRE LA COMMUNE!!!!:cheesy:
JE NE COMPREND AUCUNE DE CELA VOUS COMMUNISTE!!!!!!!!
