Karate-do or judo courses in Manchester?

I would like to learn karate-do or judo. Where can I find related courses in Manchester? An ideal one should be held at the weekends and in a location easy to access via public transport.

Sorry for my ignorance, but can you please tell me the advantages of Aikido/Systema compared with Karate-do or Judo?

Yeah, I finally figure out I may rest better if I fight harder. 😀

Seriously, I believe learning such martial arts will improve my concentration and discipline, which will help my trading. Besides, after a few accidents in the area, I think it is a good idea to learn some sell-defence skills.

In simple terms, Aikido is particularly well suited to women because it uses the power of the opponent to defeat them so in many ways the stronger the opponent the worse it is for them and I have seen this in action which is extremely effective. Karate and Judo are different in this aspect.

I've never tried akido - did some judo - and karate is a waste of time for me ..

I did Ninjitsu for a few years before moving to Sytema

Aikido also respects the opponent - in training, match or real life defence situations.

It teaches the use of 'just sufficient' force to achieve the required objective while at all times maintaining an over-arching object of inflicting minimal physical harm to them.

If you're gonna get your ass kicked - pick an Aikido man/woman!
