Jim-jams, flip-flops and a trilby. Football in the background, having a beer, waiting for CPI at 1.30pm.

Is it normal to trade in your pyjamas? Am I alone and do most people bother to get dressed when they know they don't have to leave the house?

Don't ask about the hat. I just feel like it today.

My son and I have similar taste although it's difficult to get adult sized spider-man pyjamas so have to resort to M&S.

Well that's exactly what I do (dressing gown, football in the background, maybe a beer or 2), although I cant seriously call myself a trader so your question isn't really aimed at me.
Im just trading a tiny account (see my journal) whilst trying to find a job that doesn't make me wanna slit my wrists.

If you're making a living then I say there's nothing wrong with it at all!

Totally normal Rob. At the moment i'm naked, trying to swat a very annoying fly in my trading room/office/guestroom/sulking room/having a sly doob room/stroking room....with a rolled up pair of soiled boxer shorts.

If you didn't know me and just seen me through the window you would think i was mad.

'kin 'ell, I'm (virtually) hanging around with a bunch of meffs...have some self pride you bunch of weirdos... The only excuse for being in the dressing gown is if you're Heff...

Nic: Meff Trader. I like it!

I'm not naked anymore, i'm wearing my black Japanese silk smoking jacket (embroidered tiger on back), and Jesus sandals. I also have a spliff in a cigarette holder.....pure class.

I'm also down about £500 for the day, so that leaves me with £23.75 to do some real damage with next week. Hey ho!

Welcome to my trading room...

To get onto a serious note with this thread. If you do not get washed and dressed first thing in the morning, especially if retired, you'll get sloppy with everything else. I enter the gym by 0715, Monday to Friday, It gets my day off to a good start.

Good advice. At the end of the week you can chill, go to pub, rollover in bed in the morning. Just put the discipline back into yer life when you start trading.

Not an early riser, me, and I go to the gym like 3 times a week, if the weather is crap I'll go more often, but at a minimum I absolutely try to get 30 minutes of brisk walking every day.

30 min brisk walking / day is actually fine already to keep you healthy and slim. (OK, you can't stay slim if you always consume more than you burn lol obviously !) Do some light weights additionally just to maintain your muscle tone and that's another great and very effective way to burn calories.

Markus, don't make excuses!

The chesty example in your photo can only be found at 0715 Monday to Friday. The early bird catches the worm!

I am an elderly gent of 78. I don't want everyone to think that I run around as if I was 60 years younger. I still admire a trim figure, though. What I do about it is another matter!

Well I have heard of trading in an old car for a new one but I am not sure if you tried to trade in your pyjamas what you are likely to get for them :)

Paul

nothing wrong with that, but I can beat that I trade remote from home wearing my boxer shorts, wifebeater and slippers with the mrs on standby to refill my cup of coffee lol

Hmm that would definitely be an incitement to turn myself into an early riser !!!

:D

(Just back right now from the gym btw, 45 min on the crosstrainer to get myself shipshape for the match later.) :p

On Sunday, they open at 0900 but, at least, you went, which is more than I do on Sundays. :D
