Hi all, I'm looking to send a fair bit of real cash to New Zealand as part of a long-term investment, to take advantage of the higher interest rates there (10-12%).

However, I don't want to lose any capital when the cash is returned in two or three years time, so am looking at hedging my investment by opening a short on either NZDEUR or NZDGBP, so that any decrease in my capital is offset by a gain through shorting the cross.

Are there any brokers in Europe/ UK / US that offer leveraged shorts on one of these crosses with minimal or no interest?

Cheers,

For day trading you might find a shop that won't having you paying the interest differential, but I doubt you'll find one for a long-term position. I certainly can't think of any. Maybe some other might have ideas, but I would do some serious checking on any shop that would make that kind of offer.

What you're talking about is trying to get the old free lunch. 😎
