I asked IG why their spread on Brent Crude Daily was 8 points when on their website it says that the Brent Crude spread is 5 points.
Their response was as follows :-
Thank you for your email. With regard to your query, please be advised that our spread for brent crude oil is 5 as you can see on our website, however the underlying market spread (Buy Price-Sell Price) is around 2 or 3. Therefore, it appears that the total spread is around 8.
So the spread of 8 when you trade is only apparent and not real is it, because it only APPEARS to be 8 ???
