IB and Nasdaq Level II

No not totally, but when a market collapse is about to happen
(or vice versa), then the first to leave the inside bid (or ask for
the opposite) are the ECNs so it gives a clue. Also if ECNs are not
listed you wont see the inside bid or ask much of the time
because they are often at that position.

It does seem a bit strange and may be one of the options in the
software as I know you can turn off ECNs with other packages so
it is maybe worth checking the options.

Paul,

Looks like the IB window to me (right click on the data line) to bring it up.

BRUT is shown on both bid & ask.

Best way to resolve it is email IB.

I'll try & do that later when I have the chance.

Oatman,

Have yo tried routing it through Sierra which I assume has level II capability ? as it may appear different.

Paul

let me save you the trouble. I noticed this a couple weeks ago and checked it out with IB. Here is the reply after they investigated it:

LevelII contains only those market makers participating in SuperMontage. ARCA, CINN, etc. do not participate. They appear on the NASDAQ terminal because the NASDAQ terminal shows all market centers (including those not participating in SM). The fact is, you cannot hit them through SuperMontage.

Jerry,

Thanks for that and it looks like I will be sticking with money.net then, but through Quotetracker of course.

Paul

MoneyAM has a good Level I and Level II datafeed that QuoteTracker will be supporting shortly. However, as far as I know, they are for UK only. They do not support US stocks.
