historical data into global server

does anyone have a program like hypertools (which is now expired) that can automatically import metastock data into global server? there is a forex data provider from russia that has a program called idloader that updates global server in realtime. the only thing is that it doesn't as far as i know have an import tool. do you guys know of any such programs?

Yes, Alpari has a utility that is a realtime fx feed + history update.

First make sure you have all the TS/GS service packs installed up to and including 5.
'Omega Prosuite 2000 Service Pak'
Download and install 'MetaTrader 3 (for demo-accounts only)' which is a renewable every 30 days demo.
When those are installed download and install 'Data Bank Loader for Omega GlobalServer'.

Now this may not suit you but the data is not stored in GS and I'm not sure if you can save Workspaces, or work offline, you'll have to find that out. The setup works like MT3, when you start TS/GS, it loads all the history fresh.
When MT3's installed, Menu/View/Market Watch, right clk Show All Symbols and you'll see the list of the other financials instruments there's data for, some indicies, futures, cfds.

Do you also want a feed for MetaStock ? — you mentioned MetaStock data.

i have been using alpari for months now. it is an awsome trading tool. the problem is that i have tried the loader and the problem is i am also trying to feed the data into other programs besides tradestation. and they can't read the alpari loader.my goal is to use id loader from the fx club but the loader does not update historical data. so if i turn the computer off or i have a bad connection or power failure. it is a hastle to manually update the database.

If you are using Tradstation and trading for forex,
try quoteroom 1.53 build 185 http://www.forexite.com/default.html?32
it is a totally free tool which import real time forex data into global server directly
and automatically fill up gaps. they also provide historical data back to 2001 (5yr 1m both XPO and metastock acssii format

I have software HistoryCentre 2.0 that convert ASCII data to XPO format for TS2000.
This software work only in Windows 2000.
