new to trading..after seeing my 401K and daughter's college mutual fund get decimated, I decided I had better learn more about this thing called the Stock Market firsthand..started about 4 weeks ago and even went on Scottrade just to get my feet wet..I realize this is probably the WORST time i could ever want to jump inot the stock market and I already ahve lost some money (but I figured on this..every learning curve has it's price)
..anyway, just curious if day trading is "for real" or not..(I realize I'm likely to get a biased answer here) ..don't expect to get rich overnight..but then again if i have a good plan and discipline I WOULD like for this to be a source of significant extra income
..so I guess I should ask..am I at the right place?
..if so perhaps someone could recommend a good beginner's guide to day trading..I think I've already decided I'd like top focus on momentum trading vs. swing or scalping
..any advice would be welcome
