Has anyone heard of a company called Global Prop Trader (GPT)? They provide an extensive 12-stage trader advancement program, and allow you to trade with the company's money.

Stages 1-4 are considered the "training stages", where you start with $20,000 of the firm's trading capital in stage 1, and by stage 4 you are trading with $100,000 of the firm's trading capital. In order to advance from one stage to the next, you must meet minimum weekly target profit amounts, while not exceeding a specified weekly loss limit. In the event that you exceed a specified weekly loss limit, you are subject to reverting back to the previous training stage.

Stages 5-12 are considered the "professional stages". where you start with $200,000 of the firm's trading capital in stage 5, and if you reach stage 12 you are trading with $3,000,000 of the firm's trading capital. The advancement process is the similar for the "professional stages" as the "training stages", as described above.

The trader is paid out 80% of the profits at stage 5, and by stage 12 is paid out 95% of the profits. All trading losses are absorbed by GPT.

At the end of this 12 month "internship", all traders reaching professional stages (5-12) will be offered a full-time trading position. The cost of the entire training package is $20,000 - I'm assuming there are financing options available.

This seems like it's either a great way to learn and profit from Forex trading or a complete scam. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

You will be using your $20,000 as capital and your capital is increased from your profits. this is a plain gimmick.

Seems not bad if you have that kind of money good for an experienced trader with consistant profits. However still better to join a trading firm for free and get money after passing your training on a demo account, which will give you access to the same amount of money as GPT.

i am by no means experienced in this regard but this sounds fishy. Something i'd expect from a REAL internship would be that you trade the firm's capital and are liable for any losses exceeding some set amount. i've based this only on a cursory look at the incentives and costs qualitatively

pay $20k trade, make profits someone else absorbs your losses then continue for infinite rich - sounds like troll finance

if you have 20k for that program you'd probably be better to learn to trade yourself and make 100% of the profits
