This seems like the perfect thread in which to post my question!
I'm looking to get into buying options, I understand the pro's and con's etc but what I can't get my head around is the way they are charged in broker fees and commissions.
For example, ODL securities (from what I can gather from the jargon on their website and various other sources) will charge £1.80 per contract + 1.5% commission with the minimum being £15 for entering and exiting a trade.
However, Interactive Brokers offer 1 contract for £1.70 and from what I gather that’s the final payment.
Am I missing something here? Surely there can’t be a price gap this significant!
Can anyone with experience with Interactive Brokers shed some light?
